These shirts were designed by Bozeman, MT artists Rachel Pohl (www.rachelpohlart.com). We met Rachel this past winter when she came down to Outdoor Retailer and shared some of her art with us. We were impressed, inspired, and knew we needed to find a way to work with Rachel. And like that, the Artist Series was born, designs by artists from mountain communities.

"This painting is based on a photo Travis Andersen, my good friend and mentor, took at Bridger Bowl. I bumped up the colors and transformed the already epic scene into a swirling world of light at sunset. I strove to show contrast between the brilliant yellow and pink slope and sky with the imposing spines and inversion clouds to show the magnitude of the lines cast in shadow. This spot is one of my favorite places to ski, but Saddle Peak a volatile mountain that has the potential to be really destructive. There have been a number of slides and some close calls on this side country mountain." - Rachel Pohl
